Keith Buckley (born on June 17 1992 in Dublin) is an Irish footballer currently playing for Bohemians in the Premier Division of the League of Ireland.

Career

Keith was a member of the successful Belvedere side who won the FAI Umbro under 17 Cup in 2010 by beating Carragaline United.[1]

After moving to the senior ranks, he joined Bohemians where he was a regular in their under 20s and "A" team that reached the Newstalk Cup final (A Team) and the Dr. Tony O'Neill Cup final (under 20s). Unluckily for Keith and Bohs, they would be defeated in both.[2][3]

With the financial uncertainty at Bohemians during the off season, Buckley found himself in the first team squad alongside some of ex Belvedere team mates such as Craig Sexton. Keith made his first team debut for the Gypsies on March 18 against Dundalk F.C. replacing Chris Fagan in the second half. [4]

Buckley established himself as a fans favourite early in his Bohemians' career thanks to a derby goal against local rivals Shamrock Rovers in April 2011.[5]. Buckley was given a controversial red card for a lunge on a Derry City player on the 29th of April 2011, his first red card in his professional career. [6]
